'American Idol' Contestants from Downers Grove, Naperville Leave Show
Mariah Pulice, of Downers Grove, and Alex Oechsel, of Naperville, were both selected to go to Hollywood but didn't make it to the show's Top 40.
Two local American Idol contestants have left the show.
Mariah Pulice, of Downers Grove, and Alex Oechsel, of Naperville, were both selected to go to Hollywood at the Chicago auditions.
Pulice is a graduate of Downers Grove South High School. Oechsel is a junior at Benet Academy.

This week, everyone sent to Hollywood battled to be in the American Idol's Top 40. Pulice and Oechsel were both sent home.
The top 40 will now battle to be in the top 20 in Las Vegas.
