bd’s Mongolian Grill Names Bolingbrook Man General Manager of the Year

recently honored Kenny Leetch with the General Manager of the Year Award at the company’s annual convention Detroit, Mich.

Leetch is the general manger of the bd’s Mongolian Grill.

The award recognizes Leetch’s ability to consistently exceed expectations in terms of guest experience, staff development, community involvement and sales performance. The general managers at bd’s Mongolian Grill's 13 corporate-owned locations throughout the nation were evaluated to determine the award’s recipient.

“Kenny is a hardworking, loyal individual who makes his restaurant the best it can be by taking personal responsibility in the growth and development of each teammate,” said Joe Phraner, president and chief operating officer of bd’s Mongolian Grill. “His dedication as a leader is the driving force behind the success of the restaurant. He is an inspiration to our entire system.”

Leetch began his career with bd’s Mongolian Grill in 2007 as one of the original managers of the Bolingbrook location. Over the past five years, Leetch’s positions included assistant general manager, general manger, and as of 2009, regional training general manager.

In addition to impressive sales, Leetch has become extremely involved in his local community. Leetch attributes his success to the ties the restaurant has made with the local community as well as the excellent teamwork taking place internally.
