Bolingbrook Resident to Present at National Research Conference

Senior Emma Rothenfluh of Bolingbrook is among the 45 students who will represent North Central College at the annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research March 29-31 at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. No other college or university in Illinois will send more students to this prestigious conference.

Rothenfluh is double majoring in English/writing and theatre/performance and will present an oral presentation titled “Cultural Messages in Popular Thai Children's Books."

The 45 students will present 34 different proposals; some proposals have more than one presenter, and three students will present two different research projects. Of those 45 students, 19 are part of North Central’s College Scholars Honor Program and nine of the research projects were funded by a Richter Independent Study Fellowship grant by the College.
