
of Bolingbrook was among the hundreds of nominees who attended the eighth annual Best of Bolingbrook Business Awards March 9 at the .
The dinner ceremony, sponsored by the , was a celebration to honor the achievements of businesses and individuals within the community.
From more than 600 Chamber members, approximately 10 percent were nominated for this prestigious award. To be considered as one of the finalist, nominees were required to complete a lengthy and thorough nomination packet for the selection committee.

Entrants were pared down to 20 finalists, representing five categories: Large Business, Small Business, Restaurant/Hospitality, Non-Profit Organization/Government, and Rising Star.
“It is such an honor to be the Best of Bolingbrook Small Business category award recipient," said George Lennon, owner of five local Pet Supplies Plus stores including the award-winning Bolingbrook store. “We are so proud to be part of this community and make every effort possible to give back to the community. Bolingbrook is such a wonderful place to own a business.”

Other significant awards were the Bolingbrook Business of the Year presented to ; the Business Leadership Award for Edward Bleka, owner of ; and the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Margaret “Peggy” Danhof.
