Armed Robbery at Pay Day Loan Store: Bolingbrook Police

Arrests and incidents reported to the Bolingbrook Police Department on Dec. 5 and 6.

Dec. 6 

Battery 

Jennifer Powell, 34, 211 Washington St., Dwight, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. and charged with battery on the 500 block of N. Pinecrest Road after punching the victim, police said.

Dec. 5 

Armed robbery at Pay Day Loan Store

Officers were called to the Pay Day Loan Stone, 348 Commons Dr., for the report of an armed robbery at 4:41 p.m. Witnesses said two people entered the store. One displayed a handgun and two more stayed outside the store. Both people then left the store shortly after. No one was harmed and nothing was taken. 

Car window shattered with BB gun 

A car window was shattered with a BB gun on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive between Dec. 4 and 5, police said. 

Residential burglary 

Officers responded to the 400 block of Assembly Drive for the report of a residential burglary, police said. The homeowner discovered the front and rear doors open. Two IBM laptops, a PS3 game system, PSP and several games were stolen.  

Driving under the influence 

Rose Ungaro, 21, 300 Burlington Ave., Downers Grove, was arrested at 2:26 a.m. and charged with following too closely, no insurance and DUI following a traffic stop on the 100 block of E. Boughton Road, police said. 

In-state warrant 

Geraldine Smith, 55, 505 Preston Dr., was arrested at 2:49 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant on the 500 block of Hampshire Drive, police said.
