Two men tried to lure a child at B.J. Ward Elementary School into their van Tuesday, according to Valley View officials.Â
B.J. Ward officials sent a letter to parents Tuesday reporting the incident, which took place around 11:50 a.m. Tuesday.Â
While the child was on the school playground, two men motioned for the child to come to their van. The child ignored the men and immediately notified the playground aide, according to the letter.Â
Police quickly responded, and all outside activities and recess were suspended for the rest of the day.Â
All Valley View schools and the Annerino Center (because of its proximity to B.J. Ward) were notified.Â
