2 Men Charged With Armed Robbery, Possession Of Stolen Guns: Bolingbrook PD

A juvenile from Romeoville was also arrested after police say a victim was robbed after meeting up with the men to purchase items from them.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Two men from Sandwich and a 17-year-old from Romeoville were arrested after an armed robbery was reported in Bolingbrook on Tuesday, Bolingbrook Police said in a news release.

Police did not provide details on charges for the 17-year-old, but said two 19-year-old men from Sandwich, Julius Kidd and Jelani Whitfield, were each charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery, resisting arrest and three counts of aggravated possession of a stolen firearm.

Police said officers responded at 12:38 p.m. Tuesday to a robbery on Nutwood Court. Police say the robbery happened in a nearby home, where the victim agreed to meet and purchase items offered for sale, according to police.

Police recovered five guns after the incident.

On Wednesday, at 4:30 p.m., the Bolingbrook Police Department’s Raid, Entry, and Containment Team (REACT) also executed a search warrant related to Tuesday's robbery at 179 Nutwood Court, where police say additional evidence related to the robbery was recovered.
