Black Friday Thefts, Thanksgiving DUI's: Bolingbrook Police Blotter

Nov. 23, Black Friday 

Fight in the hallway of Springhill Suites 

Gary Hill III, 22, 212 S. Highpoint Dr., Romeoville, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. and charged with battery, disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer, police said. Ivan Smith was arrested and charged with battery and resisting a peace officer following a call to the Springhill Suites, 125 Remington Blvd., for the call of a fight in the hallway. 

Robbery 

Officers were called to the 1000 block of S. Weber Road for the report of a robbery, police said. The victim states after a verbal argument, the victim’s iPhone was stolen at 11:39 p.m., police said.

iPhone, credit card stolen from Macy's 

An iPhone and credit card were stolen at 1:30 a.m. from a victim at Macy’s, 645 E. Boughton Rd., police said. The loss was valued at $800. 

Theft from Marshall's 

Devetta White, 29, 111 Mississippi Ave., Joliet, was arrested at 4:35 p.m. and charged with retail theft and an in-state warrant, police said. Sharnise Moody, 30, 95 Bradford Rd., Joliet was arrested and charged with retail theft at Marshall’s, 1158 W. Boughton Rd.

Driving under the influence 

Sergio Gloria, 18, 504 Falconridge Way, was arrested at 11:58 p.m. and charged with two counts of DUI and improper turn at intersection following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Edgehill Drive, police said. 

Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day 

Driving under the influence 

John Foresta, 22, 2713 Laurel Ct., Woodridge, was arrested at 2:52 a.m. and charged with a DUI following traffic stop on the 100 block of N. Bolingbrook Drive, police said. 

Speeding and driving under the influence 

Samantha Benicky, 21, 699 Rebecca Ln., was arrested at 2:29 a.m. and charged with speeding and DUI following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and Route 53, police said. 

Driving under the influence 

Heather Horak, 21, 531 Spruce Rd., was arrested at 1:05 a.m. and charged with DUI following a traffic stop at Briarcliff Road and Lancaster Drive, police said.

Sara Johnson, 21, 10000 S. St. Louis Dr., Evergreen Park, was arrested at 12:46 a.m. and charged with two counts of DUI following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and Janes Avenue, police said.

Jawaun Manson, 27, 216 S. Highpoint Dr., Romeoville, was arrested at 2:49 a.m. and charged with DUI following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Rockhurst Road, police said. 

Car stolen from driveway 

A 1998 Buick Century was stolen from a driveway on the 400 block of N. Ashbury Avenue between Nov. 21 and 22, police said. 

Retail theft, marijuana 

Kenneth Jordan, 22, 6 Peterson Ct., Woodridge, was arrested at 8:25 a.m. and charged with retail theft and possession of cannabis at Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd., police said.
