Photo of Bolingbrook Animal Control Evacuation Reunites Dog and Owner

A Patch reader found her dog, who had been missing for months, after spotting a photo of him on a boat Thursday.

A dog evacuated from the flooded Bolingbrook Animal Control building last week has been reunited with his owner, thanks to a photo of his rescue posted on Bolingbrook Patch. 

Public Works employees evacuated several cats and dogs from the building, which is located on Royce Road.

After seeing the above photo of the evacuation, Trina, a Bolingbrook Patch reader, posted Thursday night:

"That's my dog that has been missing for a few months thank you so much for posting this picture to help me find him!!!!! We picked him up earlier today! He was only in animal controls possession for 4 days so someone had to have taken him in once he got out of our backyard."
