Bolingbrook Approves $7.315M Bid For Water Reclamation Facility

The project is expected to have "substantial completion" in fall 2026.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Plans for a water reclamation facility moved forward at Tuesday's Bolingbrook Village Board meeting, after the Board approved a $7.315 million bid for phase 4 construction.

"Water reclamation facility no. 3 is needed to increase capacity, acceptable effluent limits and process efficiency," Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta said.

The Village received five bids for the project, and the lowest bidder was Whittaker Construction and Excavating, Inc., with $7,315,000, which was $815,000 over budget.

"The project is receiving grant funding of $1.76 million," Alexander-Basta said.

The project is expected to have "substantial completion" in fall 2026.
