Bolingbrook Board Approves 500 Replacement Trees

Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta said that Public Works removes 300 to 500 trees per year due to age and damage.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Village of Bolingbrook install 500 replacement trees throughout the Village after approving a proposal at Tuesday's Village Board meeting.

Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta said that Public Works removes 300 to 500 trees per year due to age and damage.

"This resolution approves the proposal...to plant approximately 500 replacement trees throughout the Village's rights of way," Alexander-Basta said. The approved proposal is with American Veteran Solutions, LLC, for $220,000.

The Board also approved a proposal with Homer Tree Care, Inc., for tree pruning throughout the Village. The total annual cost for the proposal will not exceed $375,000.
