Bolingbrook Board Approves Holiday Lights Purchase
Bolingbrook Public Works decorates about 500 trees on Village property for the holiday season.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — It may only be August, but the Village of Bolingbrook is already prepping for the holiday season. At its Tuesday meeting, the Bolingbrook Village Board authorized the purchase of holiday lights from the local Menards for the 2025 holiday season.
"I can't believe we're already talking holiday," Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta said. The Village's Public Works department decorates approximately 500 trees on Village-owned property during the holiday season.
"Public works obtained prices from Lowes, Menards, Production Distribution and Holiday Outdoor Decor," Alexander-Basta said.

The total cost from Menards is $49,651, which is $349 under the budgeted amount of $50,000.
