Bolingbrook Could Get Third McDonald's Restaurant

The fast food giant is requesting to build its third Bolingbrook location in front of the new Costco at the intersection of Boughton Road and I-355.

The Bolingbrook Board of Trustees are expected to vote on an ordinance tonight that could bring the village a third restaurant to the east side of town.

The popular fast food joint is requesting to build on a 1.5-acre plot of land in front of the new Costco at the intersection of I-355 and Boughton Road.

According to the village, would build a 3,900-square-foot restaurant—equipped with a 24-hour, dual drive-thru—on one of the outlots in the Boughton Woodward Commercial Center. Outdoor seating would also be available.

The ordinance is just one of many the board expects to take action on tonight. 

The board will also see a first draft of the village's annual financial report, which will offer a glimpse into the financial state of the village.

Other action expected includes:

  • A resolution to amend the amount of money the village spends on the renovation to the police headquarters facility. The village approved a $750,000 renovation and the actual cost has come out to $900,000. That means the village will have to fork over an additional $150,000. 
  • An ordinance approving outdoor dining at a new Smashburger restaurant at 149 N. Weber Rd.
  • An ordinance approving a permit for Osaka Grill & Supreme Buffet to build a restaurant in the Country Aire Plaza.
  • Two ordinance approving agreements between the village and the American Federation of STate, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO Council 31, Local 2014; and the between the village and the Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150 AFL-CIO.
