Bolingbrook Facility Fined by OSHA

D&D Manufacturing, Inc, was cited for 17 violations after the U.S. Department of Labor received a complaint about the metal stamping company, according to the Chicago Suntimes.

The citations were classified as seven repeat, six serious and four other-than-serious, resulting in $110,000 in fines.

The October inspection revealed the company failed to provide provide proper machine guarding, locking and blocking devices to prevent unexpected machine starts and operation; training on machine hazards; and safety procedures and proper storage of compress gas cylinders.

The report also said workers were exposed to live wires and damaged electrical equipment.
