Bolingbrook Girls Advance to Hinsdale Central Sectional Cross Country Meet
In the boys race, Bolingbrook junior Johnathon Cook runs to a 20th-place finish in the Plainfield South Regional and also survives the cut.

That was the scenario for the Bolingbrook High School girls cross country team.
The Raiders ran to a fifth-place finish in the Class 3A Plainfield South Regional on Saturday and advanced to the Hinsdale Central Sectional on Nov. 2. Freshman Trianna Rodriguez paced Bolingbrook with a sixth-place finish and a time of 18:46.
The Raiders had a team total of 131 points. Lockport won the regional championship with 32. Neuqua Valley placed second with 60, followed by Oswego East 95 and Plainfield South 106.
Bolingbrook also picked up contributions from sophomore Marissa Caputo (13th, 19:17), freshman Arianna Amill (24th, 19:41), senior Sydney Banks (38th, 20:34), junior Cassandra Cerpa (50th, 21:07), senior Jessica Tykane (52nd, 21:10) and senior Katelyn Hettinger (54th, 21:20).
In the boys' Class 3A Plainfield South Regional, Bolingbrook junior Johnathon Cook ran to a 20th-place finish with a time of 16:30 and also qualified for the Nov. 2 sectional at Hinsdale Central. He led the Raiders to a seventh-place finish with 177 points.
