BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook High School will withdraw from the Southwest Suburban Conference, effective in the 2024-2025 school year.

The school district said the opportunity for Bolingbrook to join its sister school, Romeoville High School, "in the Southwest Prairie Conference and unite the District high schools in the 2024-25 school year presents new opportunities, particularly at a time that makes sense with growing concerns in the area of transportation and a lengthened VVSD school day."

The Southwest Suburban athletic conference consists of Bolingbrook High School, Andrew, Sandburg, Homewood-Flossmoor, Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way East, Lincoln-Way West, Lockport, Bradley-Bourbonnais, and Stagg high schools.
