BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook is among the top 100 places to live in America, according to Money.com. The village is one of four Illinois' communities to make the list, with Illinois being one of only 10 states to have four communities among the top 100.

Bolingbrook came in at No. 85 on the list of the top 100 places to live in American in 2019. It did not make last year's list, but neither did the three other Illinois communities to make the list.

The highest ranking Illinois community is the Fulton River District area of Chicago, an emerging neighborhood in the West Loop. The neighborhood is home to Restaurant Row, a booming office sector, and the highest concentration of Millennials in the country. Fulton River was named the fourth best community to live in. (This is the first year Money.com included individual neighborhoods in its rankings.)

Money.com, which published its first "best places to live" list 30 years ago, did not list its reasoning for each individual ranking. But the study did look at over 1,000 American communities and examined over 16,000 data points to make the list. An emphasis was placed on affordability and high quality of life, according to its methodology. Other factors considered included: job growth, diversity, housing and entertainment options.
