Bolingbrook HS Grad Found Dead at Blackburn College; Cause Unknown

Tests are being conducted to determine the cause of death for Josh Ramza, whose body was discovered in his Carlinville, IL, dorm room this past weekend.

Tests are being conducted to determine the cause of death for a 24-year-old Romeoville man and 2006 Bolingbrook High School graduate who was found dead this weekend in his Blackburn College dorm room.

Josh Ramza, a senior at the Carlinville, IL, school, was discovered in his room Saturday. An autopsy was conducted Monday, and officials are awaiting the results of toxicology tests, according to a story in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Peter Oswald, a spokeman for the 550-student Blackburn College, said police told school officials that there were no signs of foul play or "any obvious cause of death," the newspaper reported.

Carlinville is located in south-central Illinois, about 50 miles northeast of St. Louis.

Ramza previously lived in Bolingbrook. He loved soccer and played in junior high, at Bolingbrook High School and in college, in addition to club sports, according to his obituary.

Ramza is survived by his mother, father, stepfather, two brothers and two nieces, among other family members.  

Memorial visitation will be held at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Dr. in Naperville, Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Ramza's family to pay for services. Checks can be made out to Janet Meininger.
