Bolingbrook Nursing Home Sued for Negligence Leading to Death
Estate accuses Butterfield Healthcare for failing treat and prevent death of woman.
The administrator of a woman's estate is suing Butterfield Healthcare, Inc, alleging the long-term care facility was negligent leading to the woman's death, according to a report from Cook County Record.
Amanda Jones file a complaint April 5 in Cook County Circuit Court on behalf of Lillie Phillips, who died September 14, 2014. Jones claims Phillips developed several pressure ulcers and is seeking $50,000.
The complaint says the facility knowingly violated the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act by failing to provide assistance, supervision and treatment.
