Bolingbrook Police: 'Keep Kids Alive, Drive 25' as Students Head Back to Class
Local police are urging drivers to be extra cautious.

As students prepare to return to class, Bolingbrook police are reminding residents of the local Keep Kids Alive, Drive 25 program.
"Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 is a safety campaign designed to encourage motorists to observe the residential speed limit," a community alert said. "In most towns and cities across the U.S., the residential limit is 25 mph. Thus the slogan ..."

- Speeding in neighborhoods is a primary concern of citizens throughout the U.S.
- Most speeders in your neighborhood live in your neighborhood.
- It is not unusual for speeders to be clocked in excess of 40 mph (and even 50 mph) in school zones.
The department joins many others throughout the U.S. in striving to make the Keep Kids Alive program a national one recognized in communities everywhere. That way, "drivers, upon seeing the logo, are simply reminded to check their speed, and slow down as needed," police said.
