Bolingbrook Police Plan Super Bowl Traffic Campaign

From Feb. 7 to Feb. 10, the department will step up enforcement of occupant protection laws.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook Police Department is joining the Illinois State Police and local law enforcement by participating in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Super Bowl Traffic Safety Campaign, according to a release from the department.

From Feb. 7 to Feb. 10, the department will step up enforcement of occupant protection laws to help ensure the safety of all passengers in motor vehicles traveling in Bolingbrook during Super Bowl weekend, the department said.

"The Bolingbrook Police Department strives to increase public awareness of the dangers associated with not buckling up. Seat belts are saving lives. One of the safest choices drivers and passengers can make is to buckle up-every trip, every time, and double check all child safety seats," the department said in a release.
