Bolingbrook Student Receives North Central College Award

Curt Bowers, son of Steven Bowers and Jacquelyn Canale, of Bolingbrook, was awarded the Outstanding Major in Economics Award during Honors Day last month at North Central College in Naperville.

Curt is majoring in economics and in finance at North Central College. He is a graduate of Bolingbrook High School. 

Curt helped lead a relief effort in the wake of last October’s Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast. The team of students traveled to Staten Island, N.Y., during their 2013 spring break and helped repair a damaged home, deliver furniture to needy people and aid displaced residents.

A high-achieving student, Curt is also a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon economics honor society and the Financial Management Association finance honor society. His name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.
