Bolingbrook Village Hall, Park District Closed For New Year's Holiday

BOLINGBROOK, IL — With the upcoming New Year's holiday, there are several closures planned for local agencies and organizations in Bolingbrook. While New Year's Eve falls on the weekend on Sunday; New Year's Day is Monday.

It's a good idea to double-check or call ahead if you're looking to stop by any stores or restaurants on New Year's Day.

Here's a look at some closures in Bolingbrook:

• No refuse pick-up on New Year's Day. Collection will be one day later than your usual pick-up day for the remainder of the week.
• Bolingbrook Village offices will be closed on Monday. Offices reopen Jan. 2.
• Valley View School District students do not return to school until Jan. 8.
• Fountaindale Public Library will be closed on Dec. 31 and on Jan. 1. The library reopens at 9 a.m. on Jan. 2.
• Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex is open from 7 a.m. to noon on Dec. 31; and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 1.
• Annerino Community Center is closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
• Pelican Harbor is open from 7 a.m. to noon for lap swim only on Dec. 31; and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lap swim only on Jan. 1.
• Local post office locations will also be closed on Jan. 1, and regular mail will not be delivered.
