Woman Shot By 'Unwanted Person', Suspect At Large: Bolingbrook PD
Police said the woman is in stable condition after she was shot once in the leg just after midnight in an incident police said is isolated.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook woman is in stable condition at a local hospital after being shot in the leg early Tuesday morning after police responded to her home for the report of an unwanted person.
Police have not identified the woman, who was shot just after midnight in the 300 block of Gehrig Circle. A Bolingbrook Police spokesman said that officers found the woman with a gunshot wound to her leg. First responders provided life-saving measures to the woman, who was then taken to a local hospital, where she remains in stable condition, the spokesman said.
An investigation determined that the incident was isolated and that there is no threat to the community.

No one is in custody at this time, the spokesman told Patch, and the incident remains under investigation.
