3 In Custody, 5 Guns Seized After Bolingbrook Armed Robbery: Police
No details have been given on the identity of the offenders. Criminal charges are pending review with the Will County State's Attorney.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Three people are in custody after an armed robbery in Bolingbrook on Tuesday, Bolingbrook Police said in a news release.
The armed robbery was reported at 12:38 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Nutwood Court. At the time of the incident, nearby residents were asked to stay in their homes and the nearby B.J. Ward Elementary School was placed into a "secure and teach" for precautionary reasons, police said.
The "secure and teach" has since been lifted, and police said residents can resume normal activities.

According to police, officers from the Patrol and Investigations Divisions along with the drone and K-9 units quickly established a perimeter.
"Their quick reaction and seamless teamwork helped to swiftly bring three violent offenders into custody and remove five illegally possessed firearms from the streets," police said.
