Bolingbrook's Relay for Life Raises $103,000 for American Cancer Society

Bolingbrook's Relay for Life event raised $103,000 for the American Cancer Society this weekend. 

About 300 people registered to participate on 25 teams.

“Beginning in May 2013, the American Cancer Society celebrates 100 years of saving lives from cancer and creating a world with more birthdays. It’s the progress we’ve made together – as a community, as volunteers, as survivors and as leaders – that has helped us reach this incredible milestone with tremendous success,” says Lona Slaughter, American Cancer Society event organizer. 

“By lending your support to Bolingbrook’s Relay this year, you’ll be lending your support to the Society’s efforts to finish the fight and bring an end to cancer as we know it.”
