UPDATED: Two Injured in Motorcycle Accident at Route 53 and Boughton Road
Readers reported another motorcycle accident at Route 53 and Boughton Road around 3 p.m. Monday.

A male motorcycle and female passenger were injured Monday after their motorcycle struck a van at Route 53 and Boughton Road in Bolingbrook, according to police.

The motorcycle driver, 26, and passenger, 23, both from Woodridge, were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. The driver is in critical condition. The female passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries. Neither were wearing helmets.

The motorcycle was traveling northbound on Route 53 at Boughton Road about 2:40 p.m. Monday when it struck a van attempting to turn onto eastbound Boughton Road from Route 53. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the van. The driver of the van was not injured.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Bolingbrook Police Traffic Division.

Boughton Road re-opened by at least 4:45 p.m.

Another motorcycle accident has been reported in Bolingbrook.
Readers reported Boughton Road was closed at Route 53 around 3 p.m. Monday with lots of police, an ambulance on the scene and a motorcycle sitting on the concrete.
The accident occurred in front of the Shell station on the east side of Route 53, according to one witness. Police closed eastbound Boughton in the area. Early reports indicate the accident involved a car and a motorcycle.
This is the third accident in Bolingbrook involving a motorcycle in the past week and the fourth in the Bolingbrook/Romeoville area. Two motorcycle accidents took place within minutes of each other Sunday, one in Bolingbrook and one in Romeoville.
