A Channahon couple is suing Sunny Ridge Family Center in Bolingbrook over an alleged botched adoption in 2011.

A Channahon couple is suing a Bolingbrook adoption agency over an alleged botched adoption, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
John and Denise Steller discussed adopting a child with Sunny Ridge Family Center in 2010 and brought home a toddler in 2011. About 10 months later, the boy's adoptive father challenged the proceedings, and the boy was taken from the Stellers' home.
"In January 2012, a Cook County court found Sunny Ridge did not seek the consent of the boy’s father on the adoption and did not properly terminate the father’s parental rights, the lawsuit states," according to the Sun-Times.
