Dog Collar, Perfume and Batteries Stolen from Car: Bolingbrook Police Blotter

Wallet stolen from bathroom, theft from Macy's and more in the Bolingbrook police blotter of April 6-7.

April 7 

Wallet stolen from bathroom 

Officers responded to the 700 block of E. Boughton Road for the report of a theft, police said. A wallet was stolen from a restroom at 3:20 p.m.

Theft from Macy's 

Allysa Jefferies, 24, 223 Miami Dr., Park Forest, was arrested at 2:53 p.m. and charged with retail theft at Macy’s, 645 E. Boughton Rd., police said.

In-state warrant 

Sheldon Merritt, 38, 511 Preston Dr. #103, was arrested at 4:14 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant on the 200 block of S. Schmidt Road, police said. 

April 6 

Driving under the influence 

Juan Ascencio, 42, 5559 S. Washington Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2:04 p.m. and charged with DUI and hit and run following a traffic stop on Davis Court, police said. 

Theft from car 

Officers were called to the 100 block of Galewood Drive for the report of a theft to motor vehicle, police said. A driver’s license, dog collar, cash, perfume and rechargeable batteries were stolen from an unlocked car between April 5 and 6. 

In-state warrants 

Darryel Garner, 25, 157 Christine Way, was arrested at 4:38 p.m. and charged with two in-state warrants on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road, police said.
