The preserve said this project would add two trail sections. A 0.4-mile north-south stretch would begin at an existing DuPage River Trail segment east of Weber Road and south of Royce Road in Naperville, crossing the East Branch of the DuPage River to connect with a new path beginning in Bolingbrook’s Indian Boundary Park.

From there, the path would run east to the DuPage River Greenway Trail owned by the Bolingbrook Park District. The improvements would create a 6-mile loop from the Royce/Weber intersection east to Whalon Lake, south across the river into Hidden Lakes Trout Farm and back along the Bolingbrook side of the river, according to the preserve.
Comments will be accepted from 5:30 p.m. Sept. 23 through 5 p.m. on Oct. 24, via email to John Stecyk at jstecyk@fpdwc.org.
