Lady Raiders Set to Open Second Half of Season at Homewood-Flossmoor

It won't have the Lady Raiders' logo stamped on center-court, but tonight's game at Homewood-Flossmoor is the closest thing the Bolingbrook High School girls basketball team has had in a while. 

The Lady Raiders have likely traveled further in the last two-and-a-half weeks than most teams do in an entire season. Since Dec. 17, Bolingbrook has traveled from home to Phoenix—to partake in one of the most —to Cincinnati and back again. And all the way, they have faced some of the most talent-laden teams in all the nation.

So you'll be somewhat forgiving if the Lady Raiders come out a little jet-legged in their first in-state game of 2011.

Bolingbrook (9-2) will tip-off against Homewood-Flossmoor (13-3), which is fresh off splitting a four-game tour in the Hillcrest Invite over the holiday season.

Before the invite, though, the Lady Vikings had rattled off eight consecutive victories by an average scoring margin of 66.8 to 44.2. 

Meanwhile, Bolingbrook comes into the game having gotten back on the following to arguably two of the best teams in the country. 

The game marks the beginning of the for the Lady Raiders, who won both games in their Shootout in Cincinnati tournament.
