FBI Seeks Serial Bank Robber Who Hit Bolingbrook Bank Aug. 3

Residents should consider the man "armed and dangerous," and contact the FBI. There is a $1K reward for information leading to the arrest.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The FBI is seeking a suspect following a bank robbery Monday at the Fifth Third Bank branch at 455 S. Weber in Bolingbrook. The medium-build white man in his late 30s was seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, brown baseball cap, surgical mask and glasses, said FBI Chicago Special Agent and Public Affairs Officer Siobhan Johnson.

It was implied that he had a weapon but it was not shown, she said.

According to the wanted poster released by the FBI, the man should be "considered armed and dangerous."

Johnson told Patch they believe they're looking for a serial bank robber who is allegedly also responsible for the following bank robberies:

  • On Jan. 22, at 11:56 a.m, at the Byline Bank located at 7751 Lake Street in River Forest.
  • On July 6, at 3:32 p.m., at the Parkway Bank located at 4858 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago.
  • On July 8, at 12:13 p.m., at the Wood Dale Bank and Trust located at 171 East Irving Park Road in Wood Dale.
  • On July 27, at 3:51 p.m., at the Parkway Bank located at 1001 North Northwest Highway in Park Ridge.

She said the FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of this unknown suspect. Anyone with information regarding these bank robberies should contact the FBI's Chicago Field Office at (312) 421-6700.
