Four Break Windows At City Sports In Bolingbrook: Police

Lt. Anthony Columbus​ said no looting took place and the four were charged with criminal damage to property.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A business in Bolingbrook had its windows broken Sunday, according to the Bolingbrook Police Department, while there were reports of other establishments being looted and damaged in the neighboring towns when protesters took to the streets to condemn the death of George Floyd.

Lt. Anthony Columbus said four subjects broke windows of the City Sports building located at 239 S. Bolingbrook Drive at 1:32 a.m. Upon breaking the windows, the subjects immediately fled from the scene in a black SUV.

"The vehicle was stopped by officers and the subjects were taken into custody," Columbus told Patch. "They were all charged with criminal damage to property. No looting took place and all indications were they intended to break windows and cause property damage."

The subjects arrested and charged were:

Michelle N. May, 32, from the 2000 block of Arthur Ave. in Lockport

Chene L. McCarter, 31, from the 2000 block of Union in Joliet

Jennifer R. Robinson, 31, from the 10000 block of S. Indian in Chicago

Breanna O. McGee, 27, 2000 block of Walsh Way in Joliet

"We are unsure of the motive or why they focused their attention on Bolingbrook," Columbus said.
