Why Go: Ever hear of this little game called the Super Bowl? Well Tailgates plans on throwing the biggest and best Super Bowl party ever. Tickets include a super buffet (beer, chicken, pasta, wings, pizza and more), five hours of draft beer, prizes and more than 40 TVs to watch the game on.

2. Super Bowl at Ashbury's

Why Go: Tailgaters isn't the only party in town and Ashbury's promises to rival Tailgaters at a much cheaper cost. The restaurant will be serving up 50 cent wings all day and goers will certainly enjoy Ashbury's $3 jumo 23 ounce draft beers. And perhaps most importantly, there will be a free halftime buffet, full with Italian beef, fried chicken, pasta salad and more. Did we mention there's a big game on TV?

3. Last call for Fountaindale

Why Go: Only a few days remain before the Fountaindale we have all come to know and love shuts down its doors forever. But not to worry, in its place will be a massive, beautiful new public library. But that won't open until early March. So you might as well go to the library this weekend to say one last goodbye, because Fountaindale will be closed for one month beginning Monday.

4. Blackened, a Metallica tribute band

Why Go: Like live music? Beer? Fun atmosphere? Right, we thought so. Head out to Tailgaters on Saturday to enjoy all of the above—and plenty of it. Blackened, a Metallica tribute band, will be performing at Tailgaters. Opening act is Garden Weasels.

5. Chinatown-chinese new year parade

When/Where: Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the

Why Go: Who said New Year's only comes once a year. Get out and help the Bolingbrook Park District celebrate the Chinese New Year in style. A parade with colorful and traditional floats is planned and local shops and restaurants will be on hand to share their fare. Plus, you can get that coveted "redo" on your surely now defunct New Year's resolution.
