Global Market Foods Opens New Warehouse In Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK, IL — In the last year, Global Market Foods, an importer and distributor of specialty brands from around the world, has experienced unprecedented growth, leading to the opening of its new 281,000-square-foot warehouse in Bolingbrook, according to a news release from the business.

A ribbon cutting was held this week for the new facility, which will provide GMF more than twice the warehouse space compared to its current Midwest warehouse location, the business said. This will allow the business to bring more of its products to customers across the U.S. and Canada.

The new space will "implement the latest in warehousing technology while also bringing in an updated, eco-friendly, green fleet of transport vehicles." The warehouse also has a 35,000-square-foot space for storing cooler and frozen items, which is something that was not available at the prior location.

“The latest phase of our expansion will allow us to create a clearer path-to-market focused on efficiently routing our products to all of our customers throughout North America,” said Chris Lahti, chief operating officer of Global Market Foods. “From our state-of-the-art logistics system that will allow us to better optimize our facility to our newly expansive freezer and cooler warehousing systems, we are set up better than ever to truly be a one-stop-shop for retailers who are seeking the finest in international cuisine.”

The new warehouse is at 430 Gibraltar Drive in Bolingbrook.
