Guns Stolen from Unlocked Car: Bolingbrook Police Blotter
Tree trimming turns violent, thefts from cars and more in the Bolingbrook police blotter of April 2-4.

A thief entered an unlocked car April 10 and stole a gun case containing two guns, according to Bolingbrook police.
The theft took place between 1:48 p.m. and 1:58 p.m. on the 200 block of Douglass Way.

Tree trimming turns violent
Officers responded to the 600 block of Rebecca Lane for the report of a battery, police said. The victim was trimming tree branches when an unknown person approached, began yelling and then pushed the victim at 11 a.m.

Cash, tech equipment stolen from cars
An iPod, MP3 radio CD, DL and cash were stolen from two cars parked on the 100 block of Rockhurst Road between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m., police said.
Car stolen
A 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen from a driveway on the 200 block of N. Commonwealth Drive between April 3 and 4, police said.
Resisting a peace officer
Juan Hoyos, 51, 1607 Arlington Ave., was arrested and charged with resisting a peace officer, police said. A 17-year-old was arrested and charged with theft and a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, obstructing justice and resisting a peace officer following a report of a theft of a cell phone.
Air mattress stolen from Wal-Mart
Officers were called to Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., for the report of a retail theft, police said. Someone was seen exiting the store with an air mattress and not paying at 6:22 p.m.

Tires slashed
Officers were called to the 400 block of Yorkshire Square for the report of criminal damage to property, police said. Four tires were slashed sometime overnight.

Criminal damage to property, battery
David Anderson, 33, 31405 Village Green Ct., Warrenville, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property and battery following an incident which occurred on March 30 at Bolingbrook Drive and I-55.
