Hampton Park SAC Hosts Annual Meat Raffle at Bolingbrook Golf Club

The Romeoville-based organization will host its Summer Meat Raffle at a new venue on July 27.

The Hampton Park Social Athletic Club (SAC) is taking its Summer Meat Raffle under the tent at the Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodeo Dr. in Bolingbrook, on Saturday, July 27.

The raffles will start at noon and continue until everything is gone. This is the first time the SAC club has had the summer meat raffle outside in the big tent at the golf club, according to SAC member Marc Camden.

Camden said Romeoville Mayor John Noak and Bolingbrook's Roger Claar are slated to make appearances at the event.

"The Hampton Park Social Athletic Club (sac) is a great organization that supports the youth activities in the Romeoville/Bolingbrook area. The Bolingbrook golf club is honored to host this event for people to come out and participate in a great raffle and help support a great club," Claar said in a press release.

Each raffle has at least five meat items ranging from a slab of ribs, pork chops, hamburgers, steaks, chicken breasts and brats to Italian sausage. Each raffle also features three to five prizes besides meat, according to Camden.

Raffle winners can choose from gift cards, gift certificates or various other prizes donated by members and local vendors. If your ticket is chosen first, you get first pick of the prizes for that round.

Other big-ticket raffle tickets will also be available, according to Camden, and a 50/50 will be held.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the golf club.

All proceeds will go to support the charitable activities of the club. The SAC club has been supporting youth activities for 49 years in Romeoville and Bolingbrook.
