Head-Shaving Cancer Fundraiser Coming To Bolingbrook

The event will benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a cancer research group that shaves heads in solidarity with chemotherapy patients.

BOLINGBROOK, IL- On March 8 at 12 p.m., Bolingbrook 4 Kids will host their annual event benefiting St. Baldrick’s Foundation at Bolingbrook Golf Club. Teams and individuals will shave their heads to raise money to find a cure for pediatric cancer. St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a non-profit organization that funds lifesaving research by awarding grants that focus on all major types of childhood cancers. Volunteer driven, events are hosted all over the world to help spread awareness of pediatric cancer and raise money for more research. They have raised $258 million in research grant funding since 2005 and continues to advocate for more funding to find a cure for childhood cancer.

Bolingbrook 4 Kids is a St. Baldrick’s Foundation event that was started in 2007 by local police and fire departments that wanted to get their community involved in finding a cure. Their event ranks in the top 30 events in the world and has raised over 1.4 million in the past 12 years. This yearly event honors VIP families in the Bolingbrook community that have been effected by pediatric cancer.

This is a family friendly event that will include a huge selection of raffle prizes, food vendors, an Irish dance performance and many other fun activities for people of all ages.
