High School Students Can Walk The Stage During Graduation: VVSD

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Valley View School District released information about the Bolingbrook High School graduation on Sunday.

According to the release, graduates will have a chance to walk the stage and no vehicles will be allowed in the parking lot before 10:30 a.m. Students are encouraged to line up in their vehicles at the times listed to avoid long wait times.

The first letter in the students' last name determines a graduate’s ceremony time:

11 a.m. Last Name Starts with A-C
12 p.m. Last Name Starts with D-G
1 p.m. Last Name Starts with H, I, J, K, L
2 p.m. Last Name Starts with M-O
3 p.m. Last Name Starts with P-S
4 p.m. Last Name Starts with T-Z

Each graduate will receive one car pass as their entry ticket onto school grounds from Schmidt Road. This pass must be displayed in the vehicle for entrance. There is a one-vehicle limit per graduate.

Each graduate should sit on the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle may have family members inside. Family members must remain in the vehicle at all times. Graduates are encouraged to decorate their vehicles appropriately. No recreational vehicles, semi-trucks, or busses are allowed. The vehicle clearance is 13 feet.

Walking the stage and wearing a cap and gown are optional. If graduates choose to stay in their vehicle, a picture will still be taken.

The Bolingbrook High School has hired multiple professional media experts for this graduation ceremony, who will be taking pictures throughout the ceremony. Families wanting to take pictures must remain in their vehicles at all times.
