Jane Addams 8th Grade Girls Basketball To Play In Third Place Game

The team will face Mahomet-Seymour on Thursday to determine third and fourth place in the state tournament.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Jane Addams eighth grade girls basketball team will play in the third-place game in the IESA Class 4A state tournament on Thursday.

The team, which was undefeated heading into the state tournament, won against New Lenox, 24-22, in the first round of the tournament, according to IESA. The win advanced Jane Addams to the semifinals, where they lost against Dunlap Middle School, 37-27.

Now, the team will face Mahomet-Seymour to determine who finishes in third and fourth place in the tournament. The game will be played at 6 p.m. on Dec. 14 in Normal, according to IESA.

The state championship game will be played the same day, and is between Dunlap and Mt. Zion.
