Jane Addams 8th Grade Girls Basketball Takes Third At State Tournament

BOLINGBROOK, IL — In the third-place game on Dec. 14, Jane Addams Middle School's eighth grade girls basketball team defeated Mahomet-Seymour, 38-22, to take third place in the IESA Class 4A state tournament.

The Mustangs finished the season with a 24-1 record, the District said.

In this year's showing at the state tournament, Jane Addams defeated New Lenox in the first round, 24-22; and lost to Dunlap Middle School in the semifinals, 37-27, according to IESA.

Dunlap went on to win the state tournament, defeating Mt. Zion, 41-34.
