Joliet Bank Bandits Are Same 2 Who Knocked Over West Suburban in Bolingbrook: Feds

The crooks made off with more than $6,000 in the Bolingbrook bank job.

The two men who robbed the Chase bank on Route 59 in Joliet also knocked over the West Suburban Bank on Boughton Road in Bolingbrook just eight days earlier, the feds revealed Thursday.

The FBI linked the Aug. 17 robbery in Bolingbrook to the one Tuesday in Joliet, and have surveillance photos of the crooks on the site Bandit Tracker Chicago.

The thieves did not show a weapon in either robbery. In the Joliet job, one of them claimed to be carrying a gun.

The bandits reportedly made off with more than $6,000 from the Bolingbrook bank. Only one of the two men actually entered the West Suburban branch while the other helped from outside the bank, the feds said.

In the Joliet robbery, both men went into the bank.

The two men reportedly appeared to be in their 20s, about 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds. In the Bolingbrook robbery, one of the men wore a floppy red hat, black shirt, light pants and sunglasses. In Joliet, one man wore a white-and-red shirt while the other wore a polo shirt, black hat and backpack.
