Man Arrested In Shooting Death of Bolingbrook Man, 23, Police Say
Anthony S. Hite, 21, has been arrested in the late August shooting death of Brandon Kines.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 21-year-old man has been arrested in the late August shooting death of a man outside his Bolingbrook home, according to police. Anthony S. Hite Jr. was charged with murder after being arrested Wednesday.
In the early hours of Aug. 24, police responded to calls of a person shot and found 23-year-old Brandon Kines, who had been shot multiple times outside of his home in the 300 block of Ottawa Street, police said at the time. Kines was transported to an area hospital, where he died hours later.
Bolingbrook police released Kines' name to the public three days after his shooting death and said at the time they had "several persons of interest" in the case. Following an investigation, Hite was arrested Wednesday and charged in the case, Bolingbrook Police said. The shooting was believed to be an isolated incident, police said at the time.

Hite is from Joliet but had been temporarily staying at a few locations in Bolingbrook, Lt. Anthony Columbus of the Bolingbrook Police Department said. He was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Hite had his initial appearance in court Thursday and is being held in lieu of $5 million bond, court records show. The man was also charged with obstructing justice/destroying evidence, records show.
