Man Dies After Scuffle With Cops, Being Tasered: Bolingbrook Police
Police said they responded to a report of a man having a diabetic reaction before the man began to physically fight with cops, paramedics.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — State police are investigating the death of a 41-year-old man who died after officers were called to a home for a report of a man having a diabetic reaction.
The Will County Coroner's Office identified the man as 41-year-old John Taylor of Bolingbrook.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Lakeview Circle just before 7 p.m. Saturday.

After officers arrived, police said it was further reported that the man suffered from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
After emergency responders arrived, police said Taylor began to physically fight with officers and paramedics, and a Taser was deployed.

Police said Taylor was eventually subdued and taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Illinois State Police are handling the investigation, police said.
