Man Steals, Strikes Security Guard: Bolingbrook Police

A 19-year-old was arrested Nov. 16 after Bolingbrook police said he stole merchandise and struck a security guard. 

Andrew Chhun, 19, 179 Galewood Ln., was arrested at 8:35 p.m. and charged with retail theft and battery. 

Bolingbrook police said Chhun put $130 worth of merchandise in a bag and struck a security guard in the chest as he fled the store. Chhun was detained on the sidewalk. No injuries were reported from the incident. 

The incident took place at 623 E. Boughton Rd., which is located in the Promenade Bolingbrook.
