New Year's Bonfire Planned By Bolingbrook Park District

The event will feature fresh popcorn, hot drinks, music, lawn games and a stroll through the woods with a nature-themed scavenger hunt.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Celebrate the new year with the Bolingbrook Park District with a New Year's Bonfire on Jan. 6 at James S. Boan Woods, 410 Schmidt Road.

The bonfire is $9 with a resident ID, and will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m., according to the park district.

The event will feature fresh popcorn, hot drinks, music, lawn games and a stroll through the woods with a nature-themed scavenger hunt, the park district said. Guests should dress for the weather, as the event is outdoors.

The park district has several other wintry events on the calendar, including its annual Winter Fest, planned for Feb. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Annerino Community Center.
