Police Blotter: Car, Retail Thefts

Several parked vehicles on the streets in were rummaged through on June 21, according to the Bolingbrook Police Department.

Retail Theft

Officers were called to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton R oad for the report of a retail theft. Unknown subject placed numerous over the counter meds in a backpack and exited the store without rendering payment. Loss valued at $626.

June 21

  • A vehicle parked on the 200 block of Eagle Court was rummaged through overnight. Nothing appeared to have been taken.
  • A vehicle parked on the 100 block of Wedgewood Way was rummaged through and a wallet was taken sometime overnight.
  • A gym bag was taken from an unsecured vehicle on the 300 block of Pueblo Drive sometime overnight.
  • Officers were called to the 300 block of Pueblo Drive for the report of an unknown subject in the victim’s garage carrying an unknown box. A handgun was seen in the subject’s waistband at 8:56 p.m.
  • A 2020 Ford Fusion was taken from a driveway on the 100 block of Brookwood East sometime overnight.
  • A 2004 Honda CRV was taken from a driveway on the 100 block of Wedgewood Drive sometime overnight.
  • A 2016 Mazda was taken from the 400 block of Sauk Lane sometime overnight.

  • A Mercedes Benz was removed from a driveway on Allegheny Court sometime overnight. Another vehicle was rummaged through.
  • Officers were called to a business on the 300 block of S. Schmidt for the report of a motor vehicle theft. Unknown subject drove off in a 2009 Chevy Trax while the victim entered the store at 10:30 p.m.
