Tools stolen

A cordless drill, digital gauge, and Sawzall, valued together at $2,000, was stolen from a vehicle between 7:40 and 11:45 p.m. in the 300 block of Appling Lane. Reports state a window was broken to gain entry.

Retail theft

Chazitti Jay, 26, 784 Rebecca Lane, was charged with retail theft and battery at 4:44 p.m. following a call to Meijer, 225 N. Weber Road.

Bridge tagged with graffiti

Graffiti was spraypainted on the bridge between April 29 and April 30 at a park in the 100 block of Northridge Avenue.

Retail theft

Alex Schulfiled, 29, 2000 S. 8th Ave., Maywood, was charged with retail theft at 2:51 p.m. at Meijer, 225 N. Weber Road.
