Employee Stole $40,000 in Tablets, Phones from U.S. Cellular: Bolingbrook Police
A Bolingbrook woman and U.S. Cellular employee was arrested and charged with theft Dec. 4 after police said she sent tablets and cell phones to out-of-state addresses.

A Bolingbrook woman was arrested Dec. 4 after police said she stole $40,000 worth of electronic equipment from her employer, U.S. Cellular.
Mary Samy, 27, of 301 Malibu Dr., allegedly shipped out large quantities of cell phones and Samsung Galaxy tablets to different vacant homes in Wisconsin.
Initially, about $80,000 in merchandise was reported stolen, but one shipment was recovered when the shipping company became suspicious of a $40,000 parcel being delivered to a public housing unit in Wisconsin.

Samy was arrested, charged with theft and transported to a Will County Adult Detention Facility.
The case remains under investigation.
