Shell Casings Found, Bolingbrook Police Investigate Fired Shots Report

Police said offenders fled an area near Maywood Lane and Juniper Lane where officers found multiple shell casings, but found no one injured.

BOLINGBROOK, IL ­— Bolingbrook Police are continuing to investigate a report of shots fired in an area where officials said that several shell casings were found on Thursday, but that no injuries were reported.

Police said on Saturday that officers arrived in the area of Marywood Lane and Juniper Lane after police received reports of shots being fired. Numerous shell casings were found in the area and after investigating, officers learned that offenders fled the scene in vehicles before officers arrived.

Detectives said they have located one involved vehicle which registers out of Country Club Hills. A search warrant was conducted on that vehicle and detectives are continuing to follow up on all leads, police said.

Police believe the incident is isolated and that there is no additional danger to the public.
